Explosion at Lehi Apartments Displace 90 Families

A suspicious explosion at the Lehi Tech Apartments on 200 S 1350 Street in Lehi, Utah took place on Tuesday at about 4:10 am, forcing 90 families out of their homes. 

The explosion happened in an apartment room containing a wife and husband they suffered minor injuries from the impact of debris. No other injuries were reported. 

The explosion impacted the apartments below, due to water damage from the sprinkler system. Red cross is currently providing the 90 families with unoccupied units away from the scene. It is unknown when the families are able to return to their apartments until the fire suppression system is restored and the apartments are deemed safe for reentry. 

The explosion is labeled as suspicious and is still currently under investigation.
