Mass Shooting in Ohio

The names, ages, and demographics of the nine people killed in a mass shooting in Dayton, Ohio have been released.

Police arrest Bruce Reginald Foster on Wednesday February 5th, he was related to a mass warehouse shooting the day before, Tuesday February 4th. The shooting took place in Ohio. Two people have been announced dead while 4 other victims are injured. This is believed to be a targeted attack.

The attack originally left 1 person dead and 5 victims injured, but early thursday authorities said one of the injured people died. The 4 other victims are remaining hospitalized.

In court, Foster claims “I never resisted arrest” The judge then held a 20 million bond and set the next hearing for February 13th. Foster proceed to tell the judge “I didn't resist, who told you that?” his attorney told him to not speak facts on his case because he is being recorded and anything he says can be used against him in the next hearing.

Victims claim, he started the shooting at around 10:30 pm. He had also been at the work house several hours before he opened fire on the people at the warehouse. Officer Jones said “No conflict or confrontation had happened before, during, or after the attack.” Jones does say that there is footage of some of what happened that night.

The suspect supposedly fled the scene before cops arrived. When officers arrived they evacuated 150 people from the warehouse into a nearby safe shelter.

One day after the attack, police had located Foster at his home in Columbus, Ohio. Police had to use a taser on Jones and took him into custody. Police claim he resisted arrest. 

The handgun he used in the mass shooting was later found in the warehouse. The handgun was “Lawfully Purchased” by Foster. He had purchased the handgun from Darlyn Mccormick who is in charge of selling Alcohol, Tobacco, and of course, Firearms. 

When asked about it, Jones says the shooting is a “Heartbreaking and Tragic situation.” There has been 26 total mass shootings in the US so far. Hundreds of people are killed at their jobs every year in the United States.

Foster is facing a aggravated murder charge according to an arrest warrant field in Licking County Court. The shooting is assumed to be targeted. Police and detectives are still working to try to find a motive behind this shooting.
