The Leap

The Leap started in 2018 at East high school. Students make clips and edit them together to make a video that is about 10 minutes long that comes out every Wednesday.
Each episode of the leap goes through different topics like school sports, classes inside the school, important events for the school, and shows teachers inside the school and what they teach.
When making episodes of the leap, they have different intros and outros for the videos showing who made that specific part of the video. In the leap they can show clips of school events like a school dance or other events that are coming up.
During the schools' sports part of the video, they show highlights of a sport and tryouts that happened or that will be happening after the video gets played.
When showing different classes, the person making the part of the clip can interview a teacher or talk about the class.
Another part of the leap that happens is a student talks about a popular trend or something new that lots of people are doing on the internet.
To be able to make a video that gets shown in the leap you need to take TV Broadcasting 1. This class teaches the basics of editing videos and how to make a video. While in this class you can also learn how to use the different apps that are used for editing.
If you pass Broadcasting 1, it allows you to take TV 2 where you can be a part of filming the leap. Taking this class would be a good class for students who would want to get into film making, because in the class you learn about the functions of a camera.
